Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 pound ground beef chuck
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 8 pickle slices

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and cook until translucent. Add ground beef and cook until browned and crumbly. Drain and discard any excess grease
  • Mix in yellow mustard, white vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste until combined
  • Add broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until all the liquid is gone, about 20-30 minutes
  • Serve on hamburger buns topped with pickles and mustard if desired
