Iowa Loose Meat Sandwiches
These simple delicious sandwiches contain crumbled. cooked brown beef, onion, and seasonings piled on a hamburger bun. If you have never had one, you have to try it!

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion diced
- 1 pound ground beef chuck
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 4 hamburger buns
- 8 pickle slices
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and cook until translucent. Add ground beef and cook until browned and crumbly. Drain and discard any excess grease
- Mix in yellow mustard, white vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste until combined
- Add broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until all the liquid is gone, about 20-30 minutes
- Serve on hamburger buns topped with pickles and mustard if desired
