French Toast

This simple homemade French Toast recipe works with many types of bread. My favorite type of bread to use is Brioche. Try it with my Bread Machine Brioche recipe! Let the bread machine do all of the work!

Ingredients

  • 6 thick slices bread
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, beat together eggs, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract
  • Heat a griddle or skillet over medium-high heat. Add light oil or butter to pan
  • Place each slice of bread into egg mixture, soaking both sides. Cook coated bread on griddle or skillet on both sides until golden brown, serve hot
