Banana Bread
This homemade recipe is simple, delicious, and my favorite banana bread recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 stick butter melted
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 3-4 bananas mashed
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts optional
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and grease a bread loaf pan
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter with brown sugar and white sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.
- In a smaller bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking soda
- Stir flour mixture into butter mixture until combined
- Fold in sour cream, mashed bananas, and walnuts if using. Transfer mixture into prepared bread loaf pan
- Bake in the oven for about 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean when inserted into center of bread
- Cool in loaf pan before removing
Notes
Helpful tip: Have ripe bananas and want to make banana bread but don’t have the time this week? Freeze them! Just take out of the freezer for about an hour to thaw before mashing them for banana bread.
