Ingredients
1stickbuttermelted
1/2cupwhite sugar
1/2 cupbrown sugar
2eggs
1tspvanilla extract
1 1/2cupall-purpose flour
1/2tspsalt
1tspbaking soda
1/2 cupsour cream
3-4bananasmashed
1/2cupchopped walnutsoptional
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and grease a bread loaf pan
In a large bowl, mix melted butter with brown sugar and white sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.
In a smaller bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking soda
Stir flour mixture into butter mixture until combined
Fold in sour cream, mashed bananas, and walnuts if using. Transfer mixture into prepared bread loaf pan
Bake in the oven for about 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean when inserted into center of bread
Cool in loaf pan before removing
Notes
Helpful tip: Have ripe bananas and want to make banana bread but don't have the time this week? Freeze them! Just take out of the freezer for about an hour to thaw before mashing them for banana bread.
