Instructions
Meatballs
Melt 2 tbsp of butter in skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and 1 tsp of salt and cook until onions softened
Transfer onions to a bowl. Add egg, milk, bread crumbs, black pepper, allspice, nutmeg, cayenne pepper, beef, and pork and mix until combined. Cover and refrigerate for about an hour
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Spray baking sheet with cooking spray
Roll mixture into meatballs and place on baking sheet
Bake in preheated oven about 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can choose to cook meatballs in a skillet over medium heat until nicely brown on all sides
Gravy
Melt 1/4 cup butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook until golden brown. Slowly whisk in beef broth
Increase heat to medium-high and whisk in cream, bring to a simmer. Add sugar and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer until thickened about 7 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper
Add meatballs into gravy and let simmer about 7-10 minutes
Notes
You can serve these delicious meatballs over egg noodles (my favorite) or mashed potatoes. You can use all ground beef if preferred, the end result is still fantastic!
