A delicious, homemade, simple chili. I have made several different chili recipes but my husband only requests this one. It has just the right amount of spiciness, richness, and smokiness. Simmer this chili for at least 2 hours for optimal flavor! I usually simmer my chili 3-4 hours.

Ingredients
1poundground beef chuck
4clovesgarlicminced
1red bell pepperchopped
1green bell pepperchopped
1jalapeno chopped (may remove seeds if desired)

1tbspcumin
1tbsp chili powder
1tspcayenne pepper

2tspchipotle chilis in adobo sauce chopped
128 oz cantomato puree
128 oz cancrushed tomatoes
1cuplager style beer
215.5 oz canschili beans in chili sauce
Instructions
In a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat, cook ground chuck breaking up the meat until golden brown
Add the garlic, bell pepper, jalapeno, onion, cumin, chili powder, cayenne, salt, black pepper, and chipotle chilis. Cook until vegetables are softened, stirring occasionally, 6-8 minutes.
Stir in the tomato puree, crushed tomatoes, beer, and chili beans. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for at least 2 hours. Serve hot
