Sloppy Joes
Simple and delicious homemade sloppy Joes. I prefer putting the cooked meat mixture into the slow cooker for a few hours but if you need dinner quickly, simmer in a skillet for about 20 minutes.

Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 onion chopped
- 1/2 green pepper chopped
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tsp mustard
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, onion, and green pepper. Drain any excess liquid if any
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, brown sugar, ketchup, and mustard to the meat and mix until combined. Reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes, serve
- Alternatively, instead of simmering in skillet on stovetop, transfer cooked seasoned meat mixture into a slow cooker and cook on low for 3 hours
