Oreo Cake

If you're a fan of chocolate sandwich cookies, you will love this simple delicious dessert. I use my trusty food processor to crumble my cookies. If you don't own one just put the cookies in a large plastic freezer bag and smash cookies with a mallet. I also rely on my electric hand mixer to easily make homemade sweet whipped cream!

  • 50 chocolate sandwich cookies divided
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • 6 tbsp white sugar
  • 2 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 8oz package cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 3.9oz package instant chocolate pudding mix

  • Add 35 chocolate sandwich cookies to food processor and pulse into crumbs. Add melted butter and pulse until well combined. Press mixture into a 9×13 inch pan and place in freezer for 5 minutes
  • Coarsely chop remaining 15 sandwich cookies (to equal about 1 cup) and set aside
  • Using electric hand mixer or stand mixer with whisk attachment whip heavy cream, white sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Beat confectioners sugar with cream cheese until well combined. Add in 1/2 amount of sweet whipped cream and beat until smooth and well combined. Spread over cookie crust and place back in freezer
  • Prepare instant chocolate pudding with milk according to package instructions, then spread over top of cake. Spread the remaining sweet whipped cream on top of pudding mixture and then sprinkle with coarsely chopped chocolate sandwich cookies. Keep cake refrigerated

If you don’t have heavy cream on hand, use 16oz container frozen whipped topping, thawed.
