Blueberry Angel Food Dessert

A light and quick dessert perfect for summer! This can easily be prepared in a trifle dish for a nice presentation. You may use whatever fruit pie filling you desire. This does require at least 4 hours of refrigeration before serving.

  • 1 10 inch angel food cake
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 8 oz cream cheese Softened
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 12 oz frozen whipped topping
  • 1 21 oz can blueberry pie filling


  • Cut or break angel food cake into small pieces and spread into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish
  • Using handheld mixer or whisk, cream together sugar and cream cheese until smooth. Add milk and vanilla extract and mix until combined
  • Fold in whipped topping and pour mixture over cake pieces. Pour pie filling over whipped topping mixture. Chill at least 4 hours or overnight
