Apple Crisp
This simple delicious Apple Crisp is made with a warm cinnamon apple filling and topped with an amazing homemade crumble topping. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream if desired.

Ingredients
- 6 large granny smith apples peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup quick cooking oats
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup butter softened
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- Arrange sliced apples in 9×13 inch pan. In a small bowl, mix together white sugar, 1 tbsp flour, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg; sprinkle over apples. Pour water evenly over apple mixture and mix well
- In a large bowl, combine oats, 1 cup flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and baking soda. Cut in softened butter using pastry cutter or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle topping evenly over apple mixture
- Bake for 45 minutes. Cool slightly before serving
